Frank Samarin, MD is the solo dermatologist at Mountaintop Dermatology where he combines his passion for dermatology and people with a deep commitment to his faith, family, and community.
Raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Samarin's journey in medicine began with his medical degree from Drexel School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then served as a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force, showcasing his dedication to both medicine and service.
Dr. Samarin completed his dermatology residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut before moving to Colorado Springs to become the dermatologist at the United States Air Force Academy. It was during this time that he and his family fell in love with the Colorado Springs area, leading them to make it their permanent home.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Samarin is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, and playing pick-up basketball. If you have any tips or advice on these activities, feel free to share them during your appointment!
